June is one of the most popular months to visit Nainital, and for 2026 that is unlikely to change. The plains are already hot. The lake sits around the mid-20s to high-20s by day. Families, school groups and weekend Delhi traffic all arrive together.
That does not mean every June week feels the same. Early June is still peak summer. Late June is when monsoon often begins to show.
Weather in June 2026

Early June versus late June
**Early June** is the safer bet for viewpoints, boating and China Peak sunsets. Hotels are expensive and Mall Road is crowded from late morning.
