Nainital Weather Forecast for 15 Days
A 15-day Nainital forecast is a planning tool, not a promise — use it to pack, time boating, and avoid the worst rain or fog days.

A Nainital weather forecast for 15 days is worth checking before you lock cab timings — and worth not treating as gospel. Mountain weather here can flip between a clear Mall Road morning and a socked-in ridge by lunch. Use the 15-day view for trends: rain likely or not, nights getting colder, a snow window in winter. Use the 48-hour view for the day you actually boat or drive to Kainchi Dham.
What a 15-day forecast is good for
- Deciding whether to pack a proper waterproof or just an umbrella
- Choosing early-week versus weekend travel in monsoon
- Spotting a colder snap in December–January
- Avoiding a day trip to viewpoints if the whole fortnight looks fog-bound
It is weaker at telling you the exact hour a shower will hit Naina Devi Temple.
How to read temperature on the forecast
Nainital town, Snow View and Bhimtal are not the same elevation. Apps often pin “Nainital” to the lake. Add a couple of degrees of caution for nights on Ayarpatta or after a ropeway ride. Compare the app band with our climate tables in the year-round temperature guide.
Season by season
**Summer (March–June).** Forecasts are the most reliable. Look for heat on the plains that day, not for rain — unless it is late June.
**Monsoon (July–September).** The 15-day chart will show rain symbols most days. That is normal. What matters is “heavy” versus “light” and whether a very wet cluster sits on your driving day. See monsoon weather.
**Winter.** Watch night minima around 0°C and any snow icons for the higher ridges. Town-level snow is less frequent than visitors hope. Our snowfall time 2026 piece explains the usual window.
Practical 15-day planning
- Check the forecast 15 days out to pack.
- Check again 3 days out to decide boat versus café-heavy days.
- On the morning itself, look out of the hotel window. Locals still beat the app.
